After I realized that I wanted to help other people get healthy, I became a Certified Personal Trainer with ACE. Over time, I realized that healthy living isn’t simply about muscles or calorie burn. Health begins with a comprehensive mind-body wellness program.
Today, I am passionate about mind-body wellness. When I begin to work with a client, I find out about their unique and authentic body. I learn about their journey and their struggles to become healthier. With creativity and compassion, I design an exercise program that will energize my clients into action. With my spirited personality and personalized music, I engage their humor and make the workout fun. Yes, working out can be fun AND effective!
Professionally, I have been certified with the American Council of Exercise since 2010. I am a Certified Personal Trainer with specialty certifications in Golf Conditioning and Mind-Body Fitness. Recently, I’ve also become a certified Jazzercise Instructor. All of these certifications provide my clients with safe, effective and fun fitness programs.
Exercise science is always evolving. In order to keep current with the latest in exercise trends and programming, I attend classes and seminars each year. I also participate in many local races and fitness opportunities. Part of being an Exercise Professional is knowing that I always need to continue to learn. I love to attend new fitness classes and try new programming trends. This not only keeps me in shape, but it keeps me engaged with the industry.
When I’m not helping my fabulous clients or exercising, I enjoy spending time with my wonderful family and friends. I also enjoy hiking, kayaking, wine making, reading, gardening and painting.
